Mark Fisher – Inventor of Stage Design for Stadium Shows

As you start Brief2A:Festivals we would like to introduce you to an extraordinary Architect: Mark Fisher, director of Stufish. Mark graduated from the Architectural Association in the seventies when Archigram was turning modernism on its head with wild, excentric, and joyful machines! His diploma included a fully functionnal inflatable suit which he tested on a lake.  He then went on to design the famous “Wall” show for Pink Floyd for which he designed and made a large inflatable structures of a teacher. Mick Jagger saw the show and hired him to design the Rolling Stones tours. The rest is history, Mark Fisher invented a new profession: designing set design for stadiums!
