Back in our studio and excited to see how students are tackling the brief this year. Here are some pictures showing the different systems that students chose for brief01 and some of the models that are already being produced.
We already mentionned the book The Nature of Code in a previous post and on our bibliography page, a fantastic book to understand basic concepts of “computational design” with Processing such as vectors and fields. Hello everyone, we are happy to be back for the 2013-2014 academic year at the University of Westminster after couple weeks in the desert at the Burning Man festival! Similarly to previous years, we will place our studio briefs in the list below as we develop them throughout the year. We hope it will inspire you!
-20/09/13 – A4 – Introduction to briefs
The academic year is almost over, the graduation show and prize ceremony is in two weeks. Toby and I just assessed everyone’s portfolios with the help of other tutors from Westminster. This is a very stimulating day in which all the studios’ year-long student work is seen and its diversity revealed. Students could not be part of the process and witness the efforts and beauty of the some of the work so here it is, a little selection of some of our most creative portfolios this year:
