Andrei Jipa studied architecture at the ‘Ion Mincu’ University of Architecture in Bucharest and at the University of Sheffield on a European scholarship program. Having a background in mathematics, geometry and computer science, he is currently part of DS 10, where he develops his design vocabulary in the area of parametric design and digital fabrication and wants to explore new means to articulate programmatic complexity through computational design tools.
Andrei works for RHWL Architect in the City of London and he received their Part I Student Sponsorship for his Diploma studies. He participates in design competitions regularly, having been successful with the reDesign Puma and LOFT Vertical Farms in Potters Fields, which was featured internationally in architecture journals.
He has an interest in the interdisciplinary nature of architecture and the tangential fields and ideas of social psychology, anthropology, recent history, meta-ethnicity, physics, utopias etc.
