Irina Ghiuzan

Irina  graduated from University of Portsmouth in 2012 with a BA (Hons) Architecture degree. Her final year project explored the relationship between urban design theories and current masterplanning concepts, looking in particular at the revitalisation of public spaces in London Bridge.

This project led her to join Grimshaw Architects’ office as part of the Tirana team where she contributed to the extension masterplan of the Albanian capital and the creation of new infrastructure and public spaces. Later she worked for a small planning consultancy and her second year out was spent at Haines Phillips Architects, a practice specialising in high end residential projects, gaining experience in the housing sector.

Interested in how architecture impacts peoples’ behaviours and beliefs, Irina started her Masters degree at Westminster with a desire to deepen her theoretical and practical knowledge in this area.
